Digital Learning Day
Thanks to the Emporia Community Foundation for granting materials for the Emporia High School Library. The books, ebooks, and Zing Air Cut support the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum. These materials were displayed at the Learning Commons MakerSpace event celebrating the Digital Learning Day February 17, and will be available to all students throughout the year. This extension of the school day provided a space for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) activities for students to "Make and Take" projects. The donation enhanced the library collection and promoted learning beyond the traditional textbook.
Students played board, card, and electronic games and enjoyed refreshments provided by WalMart. Students interacted F2F and digitally at the after school event. Photos are available.
