 We're staying hopeful and grateful that the impasse in Congress won't affect Medicare recipients, at least it won't affect benefits. The government shut-down will probably make it difficult to get help regarding billing questions and processing new enrollment applications though. I guess they don't remember singing Kumbaya by a campfire; let's send Congress back to camp with a bunch of 11-year-olds to refresh their sense of community and responsibility to others. |

Danea Horn is no stranger to adversity. She's battling multiple illnesses and impending kidney failure, so she knows what she's talking about and definitely practices what she preaches. She's the author of a new book titled Chronic Resilience: 10 Sanity-Saving Strategies for Women Coping with the Stress of Illness.
