Greetings!
We have two great KidneyTalk interviews in this issue and are all set for our education meeting next month. I had a blast interviewing Celia and Chef Aaron. Check out last year's video from our Glendale meeting and see what to expect. Join us for fun, food, education and meeting new friends. |

Two Fantastic Shows
If you thought you can't live very long on dialysis, you need to listen to this show. I interviewed Ms. Celia Kanter who has been on dialysis for over 36 years. She was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 30, due to high blood pressure, and was given only 5 years to live. She is now 73, has had the same fistula since she started, and is living an active life. This amazing lady is inspiring. Click on the image to hear her story. The second show is an interview I did with Chef Aaron McCargo Jr., from Big Daddy's House on The Food Network. He has come up with good-tasting, kidney-friendly recipes for people on dialysis. He has some great tips too. Try one of his recipes and have what he calls "a party in your mouth." Click on the image to hear the show.
