Greetings!

TopApril is over and I was happy to see numerous activities throughout the community in support of organ donation month. Over 117,848 people are waiting for a transplant so we all have to stay diligent in educating people to sign up to be an organ donor and let their family know their decisions. The gift of life is needed by so many.
Have You Heard the Latest on KidneyTalk?
Hostert family
The Hostert family never knew that kidney disease would affect their lives in so many ways. Kathleen and her son Justin share the bond of having given the gift of life to Husband/Dad Craig. Listen to this rollercoaster of a ride show and hear what the family learned throughout this journey. Organ donation can bring a family even closer together.

Sleep Apnea and Kidney Disease
tired person Sleep Apnea is a serious condition that is particularly important for patients with kidney disease to identify and understand. Learn how to notice the symptoms and if you have it what you can do about it.

In Southern California the flowers are blooming and the honey suckle is taking over my backyard.  It smells so full of life as the honey bees take delight in the nectar.  Remember to always stop and smell the flowers (avoid the bees) as every moment of life is precious.  I know this as I received the Gift of Life!
