On June 6, eight (8) Comfort Keepers^® franchisees from across the U.S. will meet in Atlanta, GA at the Jackson Spalding (JS) offices to participate in a focus group led by a JS research professional. The goal is to garner input from franchisees on how we can improve the communication channels between franchisees and CKFI. What are the right channels? What is the right messaging? How frequent? Who should the messages come from? Who should receive the messages - franchisees, staff members? We will share the results of the focus groups and next steps once the process is completed. Watch for more information.

The RFPs for the creative and media agencies have been submitted to the committee and the members are methodically reviewing the information and scoring the candidates to distill down those three agencies from each discipline that will be asked to present to the committee in June. The range of talent and experience is exceptional and it is good to have the options that we do. The RFPs for the call routing are due to the committee today, May 17, and the committee will begin the same process. All presentations will be delivered June 4 - 6.

Also during the June meeting, the accounting firm managing the Fund will present templates for the financial documentation to the committee and we will agree on process.

Last month we told you about the merger of Prime Printing with Think Patented, your source for customized print materials. On Memorial Day weekend, Think Patented is moving into a new facility and it is important that you are aware of a few notable dates that may impact your orders.

On Friday May 24 and throughout the Memorial Day weekend, all Think Patented operations will be closed. This includes manufacturing, fulfillment and digital/web services. It is their intent to restore digital/web services as quickly as possible with manufacturing and fulfillment back on-line Tuesday morning, May 28th. During this time if you have any questions, please contact your Account Representatives Ashley Dean at (937) 291-3595 or Jacqueline Sherrill at (937) 291-5936.

On Tuesday May 28, all Think Patented employees will begin working from their new building and operations will continue as normal. Their new address is 2490 Cross Pointe Drive, Miamisburg, OH 45342.

Thinking about expanding your territory? Now through August 30, 2013, if you decide to purchase a new territory, we will honor the old $42,000 Franchise Fee for you as a current franchisee. (Effective March 1, 2013, the Franchise Fee was raised to $45,000.) In addition, we offer financing for your expansion territory with only $5,000 down, and finance the balance of the cost for 30 months at 6% simple interest. Also, the $300 minimum royalty payment only on that expansion territory does not begin until the 30th month.
