Organ Recital
Dr. Steven Wente, Chairman of the Music Department and Organist to The Chapel of our Lord at Concordia University Chicago, will be offering an organ recital at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11500 German Church Road, Burr Ridge, on Sunday, June 5, at 4 p.m. This recital is part of the congregation's 150th Anniversary Celebration year and will be performed on their recently installed Fabry pipe organ. There is no charge for admission. A freewill offering will be received. Refreshments will be served following the concert. |

The Young Swedish Singers 2016 TourThe Young Swedish Singers, a 34-member gospel singing group from Sweden, will appear in concert at the following locations/dates: - June 17, 7 p.m. - Bethany Lutheran (ELCA), 76 W Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake, 815-459-2690

The Young Swedish Singers' concert, sung mostly in English, will include gospel, hymns and Swedish folk music. All offering income received during the tour will benefit Shepherd's Canyon Retreat, a non-profit ministry providing counseling retreats for clergy and their spouses. |

Save the Date - Early Childhood Conference
The 40th annual Early Childhood Conference will be held Friday, August 5, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest. The conference will feature workshops for primary, kindergarten and preschool teachers, workshops for childcare center staff and directors, and commercial displays. Attendees may earn five Professional Development Hours (PDH) toward Illinois teacher licensing renewal. Visit CUChicago.edu/ecc for registration information. |
Pastor Advance Planning for Lent 2017 - Pre-register NowA one day pre-Lent retreat on the book of Job, led by the Rev. Dr. Reed Lessing, will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, in West Bend, Wisconsin on Monday, January 9, 2017. Participants will explore nine sermons that dig deeply into Job's central message, plus six adult Bible class lessons that further address the book's major topics and themes. Those who attend will come away with sermon manuscripts, textual notes, and orders of service for midweek services. The cost of the retreat is $25 which includes lunch and refreshments. Position Available: Organist
Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th Street, Tinley Park, Illinois, is seeking a church organist for two to three weekends a month. Trinity conducts liturgical services using traditional hymns. Responsible for worship services 2-3 weekends a month for the Saturday 6 p.m. service and both the 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. services on Sunday mornings. 2. Online on your SET or LEIF profile
3. Online on your LCMS Rosters and Statistics profile
