Greetings!

MARCH HIGHLIGHTS

1. TWO COOL APPS. "There's an app for that" has arrived for personality assessment. I found two for my iPhone called "Myers-Briggs Type and Communication" and "Personality Types," also a Myers-Briggs product.

Myers-Briggs Type and Communication helps you understand a coworker or friend better -- assuming you already know both yours and their types.

Personality Types allows you to give a quiz to a stranger and save two years of trying to figure them out. Now THAT is hot news. Image using this for a new coworker...or even at a bar.

Both are well worth the small price to pay. Just to go to Apple's App Store online.

In an article below, I provide you predictive equivalents of Colors combinations to MBTI types.

2. MY KINDLE BOOK IS FREE TODAY AND TOMORROW (3/17-18) to celebrate St. Paddy's Day. Yes, "Dermody" is as Irish as Paddy's pig. If you already own the book, tell your relatives who whine they cannot find a job. The book's focus is to practice communicating in the language that other Colors need to hear. Begin by starting to speak and write in EACH of the four Colors, then boldly try to speak and write in ALL four colors simultaneously. This is the only book I know of that teaches you how to do that. Yes, the book is about Job Interviewing, but its lessons apply for most situations. Click here to get the book free.

3. NEWSLETTER NAME CHANGE. Note the new name for this newsletter: "Since the Workshop." 98% of my readers have participated in my workshops, and the purpose, really, of reaching out this way is to keep assisting you with ways to leverage the knowledge you have to deal better with people at work and at home. Four Windows is not a "personality test with a readout." Four Windows is a work-shopped living entity to use among real flesh and blood people for understanding, conflict resolution, and communication that actually works.

Colors Equivalents to Myers-Briggs

If you wonder how the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) temperament types match up to Four Windows, here is the official list. In parentheses are Keirsey's temperament names. These match-ups are simply predictive, not absolute.

Six reasons that companies call me back

Jack in Workshop Click to email me to call me back!

  1. We have new employees since your last visit.

  2. We (our company, department, or team) merged and we have to learn how to get along and work together asap.

  3. The old guard does not understand young employees, and vice-versa.

  4. Our employees are not buying in to new goals, or even the main mission.

  5. It seems that people here do not know how to communicate.

  6. Important team members do not understand one another, and that has got to change.

This really is YOUR newsletter. I like sharing stuff more than selling stuff. Send your stories and comments, please, to dermody@cox.net.

Sincerely,

Jack Dermody
