President's Message
Emily Pataki

                                      Emily

Greetings Republicans!

Summer is coming to a close, and we are gearing up for a busy Fall.  We have George P. Bush speaking at our September 9th luncheon, which is a program you will not want to miss.  We also have a new member recruitment event in September, followed in October by our 36th Birthday Party and the TFRW Annual Convention.
It is a great time to be active in our club, and I encourage you to take part in as much as you can.  Invite your fellow conservatives who have not had the opportunity to attend a WCRW event to come along, and let's see if we can bring some new faces into our club as we head into 2014.
I thank you for all your support of the WCRW, and I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming engagements.

Sincerely,
Emily Pataki
President

Social Fun
and New Member Event

Do you know someone that is interested in joining our club?  Would you like to help welcome potential members?  Would you just like a night out with WCRW friends?

Please join us at Jack Allen's Kitchen in Round Rock on Thursday, September 12th as we invite Potential New Members to learn about our club from 5:30 - 6:30pm.  Complimentary appetizers will be served.  For those that would like to stay for dinner, please RSVP to -
THE PARTY IS BACK - WCRW'S 36th BIRTHDAY PARTY FUNDRAISER

More games, surprises and fun!  Be sure to put Oct. 14th on your calendar - our regularly scheduled lunch date.

A "not to be missed" event!  Ask anyone who was there last year!

This is our only fundraiser of the year.  Thank you for your past support and we hope you'll take a moment right now to make a pledge!

Pledge Now!

In the 2012 Election, we supported our local conservative candidates and contributed $5,000 to the WILCO Republican Party to help print the Voter Guide.  We have a lot of work to do for the 2014 Election and we need your support

CARING FOR AMERICA
LITERACY

Elaine Prout, Newsletter Editor, and Dolores Hailey, Literacy Chair, delivered the Constitution pamphlets and dictionaries to Jolena Pokorny, Principal of Thrall Elementarty School on the 26th of August.  Although the principal is out on maternity leave (her sweet baby girl, Macy Jo, is about 3 weeks old), Jolena was at the school to receive the books.  Jan Rinderknecht, teacher, expressed how much her class enjoyed the dictionaries delivered last year.
Please don't forget about collecting Box Tops for Education for the Thrall School.  The Box Tops are on various products (Kleenex, Betty Crocker, etc) as "Official Coupons."  You can bring them to our monthly meeting.  Thank you.

Caring For America

Are you aware of The Caring Place?
The Caring Place at 2000 Railroad Street in Georgetown is a non-profit, charitable organization that supplies basic needs to families in economic crisis in Georgetown and Northern Williamson County.  The majority of their operating revenue comes from the sale of community donated items that are sold in their thrift store - The Shops at The Caring Place.  The Caring Place is staffed by only 13 full-time employees and about 400 volunteers.  There are about 30 different volunteer jobs being performed.
Are you ready to volunteer?
WCRW members can put on their red shirts and volunteer on Saturday, October 5th, for a 3 hour shift.  A sign-up sheet will be available at the next monthly meeting.  It will be a fun time!

  Board Meeting

September Board Meeting - Sept. 17th

     ATTENTION ALL PRINTERS!

The WCRW is looking for a new potential printer to put together our annual directory for next year.  If you or someone you know runs a conservative printing company here in Williamson County that would like to do business with us, please contact Marci Revelle at vpmembership@wilcorw.com or Debbie Simmons at

Fundraising

Hollidaze WCRW has two wonderful friends who help us with fundraising.  Kathie Holliman of Hollidaze Gifts is a long-time supporter and often brings a wide assortment of Republican-themed items to club luncheons, including her popular "Republican Women are the Life of the Party" shirts. Kathie donates a portion of each sale back to WCRW.  You can order these shirts by emailing republicanlady@ymail.com
