Veteran, entrepreneur & public servant, Ernie Beltz, will be our guest speaker Monday July 8th

Ernie Beltz

Ernie is from Austin, Texas, a small business owner, a Marine Corps veteran, former federal government program manager, founder of the Warriors in Transition non-profit organization, and former U.S. Congressional Candidate.

During his time on active duty in the Marine Corps, Ernie was stationed with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Japan and Headquarters Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, LA. Ernie left active duty in January 2006, and started a small business in Austin, TX. In late 2009, Ernie had an opportunity to serve as a mentor for a group of wounded warriors from Fort Hood. Shortly after, Ernie was asked to be the first Veterans Employment Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Treasury. President's Message
Emily Pataki

                                      Emily

Greetings Republicans!

Summer is officially here, and while we are looking forward to family vacations, time with the kids, and our country's birthday, we must remain focused on important issues facing our nation.  At home we will be carefully watching the Texas Legislature as it reconvenes its' Special Session.  Please stay tuned as to what bills will be presented and how you can positively affect the passage of conservative measures for our state.  Contact your local representatives and encourage them to fight for the values we cherish!  Concurrently, it is as important now as it has ever been to keep an eye on what is going on at the Federal level.  I know we have all been alarmed by recent revelations concerning the intrusion by the government and its' agencies upon our civil liberties.  We must fight back against these intrusions and educate our fellow citizens as to what protections the Constitution affords us.

The immigration debate is another item that should be at the forefront of every engaged Conservative's mind these days - our representatives in Washington need to hear from us as to what we think of the legislation they support or do not support.  We as Republicans MUST remain vigilant and focused on our desired outcomes and not fall into complacency when so many seek to supplant the principles of our Founding Fathers.

I hope that you will join us for our Military Appreciation Luncheon in July - being the wife of a veteran myself, I know how important it is to take the time to thank those that have served our country, and I appreciate all that you do personally to honor out soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines.  We will be accepting donations from our club members to help cover the costs of our military meals for the July luncheon.  If you would like to sponsor a military lunch, please contact Debbie Simmons at [email protected]

Thank you again for your continued support of the Williamson County Republican Women.  Happy July 4th to everyone, and stay safe this summer!

Sincerely,
Emily Pataki
President

Social Fun For July

Thanks to all who made it out to Reunion Grill last month!  What a fun time.  We'll be sure to plan it again when there's a band playing.

For our July Social, meet us at...

Let's make some wine!!  We can bring some snacks, have a tasting to choose our wine, talk, and then make our wine.  There is a Christmas in July 10% off special to create and bottle our own wine.  Depending on what wine we choose and the number of attendees the price runs from $350-650 to make one or two batches of 28 bottles of wine with one custom label.  So if there are ten people interested it may run $35-65...if there's enough interest we could make two different types of wines....it's up to you.
We'll need a headcount so please RSVP by 7/12/2013 by clicking this link.
