President's Message
Emily Pataki
Fellow Republicans,
I am sure you all were taken aback by the tragedies our country and our state endured this past week. The Boston Marathon bombings reminded us that we are still living in a world where democracy is a threatening idea to some - threatening enough that our enemies would seek to harm us in shocking and senseless attacks on the innocent. The Republican Party has a strong tradition of supporting an agenda of strength against terrorism both at home and abroad, and we must remind our legislators that we must continue to promote the defense of our American way of life.
The explosion in West, Texas reminds us also of our duty to our neighbors and fellow citizens in times of tragedy. Real compassion comes from individual action, not from relinquishing charitable activity to the bureaucracy of big government. It amazes me how giving people can be during such disasters, even in spite of being squeezed by taxes and regulations. The most important thing to take away from these tragedies is the resiliency and power of the American Spirit. Lets all tap into that spirit and get energized about our country - lets continue fighting to preserve all that makes our nation the best in the world!
In club news, we are putting the finishing touches on our 2013 directory and will be passing out copies at our May meeting. Please be sure to join us and get your copy. We will also be at the Round Rock Centennial on April 27th - stop by and help us spread the word about how Republican Women DO CARE!
Thank you for all that you do to support the WCRW and conservative causes!
Sincerely, Emily Pataki President

Fundraising
WCRW has two wonderful friends who help us with fundraising. Kathie Holliman of Hollidaze Gifts is a long-time supporter and often brings a wide assortment of Republican-themed items to club luncheons, including her popular "Republican Women are the Life of the Party" shirts. Kathie donates a portion of each sale back to WCRW. You can order these shirts by emailing republicanlady@ymail.com.
