ART AS A HEALING PRACTICE KH_2012

Hello!

I am sending you this email because you have participated
in at least one Art as a Healing Practice series with me, or you
have worked with me in another expressive arts setting.
I am deeply grateful for your participation.
You have taught me so much along the way!

KH_journal
Today, I want to tell you more about the Art as a Healing Practice Online Support Community. I would love to have
you join in! This is a great way to stay connected and to make your creative and healing work a priority.

One current participant says:
"I appreciate being a member of the Art as a Healing Practice Online Community for several reasons: it provides motivation to be consistently creative; it gives me a place to share my product and, more importantly, my process; I receive support from wonderful ladies; and I get to experience the creative endeavors of others. This forum is the main contributor to my personal healing practice." - Denise Waldick

WHAT IS THE ONLINE SUPPORT COMMUNITY?

This community is designed to assist you in continuing and furthering your creative practice, whether or not you are actively involved in a workshop series. You can  participate in discussions, ask questions, share resources, share art work and writing, and more.

WHAT IS INCLUDED? AHP_journal

*Audio meditations:

All six basic Art as a Healing Practice guided meditations are available for your use, as often as you want. In addition, new meditations are posted periodically.

*Discussions:

Kathleen posts discussions, and you can begin discussions a well.

Some examples:

*how can I keep my creative practice going?    *What do I need in order to do that?     *How can I fit this practice in to the particulars of MY life in an ongoing way?     *How do I hold myself accountable for my ongoing creative practice?     *Who do I share my art and writing with?     *Where is my support system?

*Sharing Images and written reflections:

One of the most important parts of the online Art as a Healing Practice has been the sharing of images and writing. The forum will provide a container for that continued sharing. You are free to share when and if you want.

WHEN?

Ongoing. The site opened at the beginning of 2013. I am now actively recruiting more members, and the introductory price of $125 for a year is still in effect!

WHERE? AHP collage

Online.

Hosted by ning.com

WHY?

The overall purpose of this online community is to support you

in continuing your own creative practice. It provides a network, resources, mentoring, and community to assist and guide you in your own creative quest.

HOW?

You choose how actively you participate. I encourage you to find a rhythm of involvement
that fits for you.

There are ground rules and guidelines for sharing and confidentiality.

KATHLEEN'S ROLE

I am the network administrator, and the overall facilitator. I initiate discussions, monitor and respond to postings, track what is happening, offer support and feedback to individual members and to the community as a whole. I provide resources and occasionally post new guided meditations, in an audio format. As the community grows and evolves, it may be that special interest groups are started.

Because it is still new, it will undoubtedly evolve in directions I have not yet thought of!

Member input is encouraged.

HOW IS THE ONLINE COMMUNITY DIFFERENT FROM A WORKSHOP SERIES?

*it is ongoing

*it has the capacity to have more participants

*it is hosted by ning.com rather than blogger.com

*you can decide the level and frequency of your own participation.

*you can set up your  own page and post as much or as little of your own art and writing as you wish.

*you can control which discussions you want to receive emails about.

*special interest groups may develop as the community grows.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS?   Moment_Mandala

Basic computer skills and a decent internet connection. Ning.com is the host, and it is very user-friendly. I am available to assist with technical questions as they arise.

You will most likely want to have a digital camera or scanner in order to be able to post images on the network. It really isn't very difficult, and we all share information to assist one another.

WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE?

The current introductory price is just
$125 for a year!  (Just under $11 per month!) This is a great deal for a whole year of support and community!   This price will not last, but I am extending the offer now in order to boost membership.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

at any time. Once you have paid, you will receive an email invitation to join. If you want to join and need a 2-payment option, please email me.

The more I work with this simple, yet profound process, the more I am in love with it. The truth is, it changed my own life and I am honored to be able to offer it in ways that might bring changes to yours. Many of you have already shared with me the deep and lasting effects this work has had.

Please contact me if you have questions....I am happy to email or speak with you!

With gratitude,

Kathleen
