Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Kathy Cunningham Mental Health Advocacy Award
Do you know a Mental Health Hero? Please consider nominating them for the 2017 Kathy Cunningham Mental Health Advocacy Award. Stephanie Contreras (shown here with Kathy's son, Steve Owens) received the award and $500 check last year.

The Kathy Cunningham Mental Health Advocacy Award was established in memory of a devoted advocate and Clarity CGC employee who spent over 30 years supporting mental health. Kathy passed away in 2013.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 award. Recognize your unsung hero by nominating them for this special award. Nominations will be accepted through January 31, 2017.

It's almost "Tee" time! Have you registered?
There are just a few days left to register for the first ClariTEE Classic - A Top Golf Tournament to benefit Clarity CGC, on Sunday, November 13.

NAMI Family-to-Family education program begins Thursday, November 10 at Clarity CGC
NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 12-session education program for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help all family members understand and support their loved one living with mental illness, while maintaining their own well-being.

NAMI Family-to-Family is offered by NAMI San Antonio, the local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The program will be held on Thursdays beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Clarity CGC.

New Teen Group sessions begin Monday, January 9
Sign-up is now open for the next session of the Clarity CGC Teen Group.

The Teen Group sessions take place every Monday, beginning January 9, 2017, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the new Clarity CGC Outpatient Services building at 8535 Tom Slick Drive. Cost is $25 per session and may be a covered benefit under your insurance plan. The group is limited to eight participants.

Special Evening CEU Event: Dinner with DBT - Wednesday, November 16, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Clarity CGC, along with Alamo Wellness Group, present this special evening CEU presentation by Kasi Howard, PsyD, on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the holidays.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Clubhouse.

During the Dinner with DBT presentation, participants will learn:

- To use DBT interventions to assist clients through the holidays.
- Skills to discuss relapse prevention with clients.
- Practical techniques to assist clients with plating holiday meals.

This program qualifies for two hours of CEU credit (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, and PsyD).

Cost: $25 (includes dinner and 2 CEU's). Seating is limited.
