Reserve your seat for the Nurturing Parenting courses beginning Thursday, September 29 at Clarity CGC
We are pleased to announce that parenting classes, through our partnership with the Brighton Center, will resume on Thursday, September 29! The 10-part series of parenting courses is called Nurturing Parenting.

These workshops will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursdays at Clarity CGC. The workshops will give parents better insight into children and their style of parenting so that parents may become the best they can be. Courses include free childcare and dinner.

Free Thursday, September 29 community presentation on Bullying
Clarity CGC welcomes Melissa Graham, PhD, from the San Antonio Police Department Psychological Services for this special Thursday September CEU presentation - Bullying.  
 
Dr. Graham will discuss the different types of bullying and how bullying changes based on age. A special focus will be on the prevalence of cyber bullying.

Coming on Friday, October 7 - Ethics in the Helping Professions
Joe Dias, MEd, LPC-S, will be the speaker for the October CEU presentation - Ethics in the Helping Professions: A Review and Discussion on Ethical Guidelines and Dual Relationships. This workshop will be presented by Clarity CGC in cooperation with Memorial Hermann PaRC.

Registration for this CEU event will be opening soon and announced in a future E-news. Please note this presentation will take place earlier in the month, on Friday, October 7.  
NAMI Basics course begins on Saturday, October 8 at Clarity CGC
NAMI Basics is a free, six session course for parents and primary caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness. The program is taught by trained teachers who are also the parents or family caregivers of individuals who experienced emotional or behavioral difficulties prior to age 13.

NAMI Basics is offered by NAMI San Antonio, the local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The program will be held beginning Saturday, October 8th at 10:00 am at Clarity Child Guidance Center.
