Melanie Hennis, LPC-S, LCDC, CSC and founder of Sage Social Services will be our special guest for the August CEU presentation at Clarity CGC. She will support attendees in understanding and integrating the good, bad and ugly of empowerment.

Parenting classes to begin Thursday, September 29 at Clarity CGC
We are pleased to announce that Parenting classes, through our partnership with the Brighton Center, will resume on Thursday, September 29! The 10-part series of Parenting classes is called Precious Minds New Connections.
The sessions will be held on the Clarity CGC campus and will include 20 hours of parenting credits, childcare, refreshments, and more. The first session will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 29. This free program is focused on creating a positive and nurturing environment for parents and children.

Get in the game for the San Antonio Stars & Mental Health Awareness Night - Thursday, September 1
Join Jayne Appel, the San Antonio Stars and Clarity Child Guidance Center at the AT&T Center as the Stars take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Mental Health Awareness Night!
Mark you calendar for Thursday, September 1 for a great evening of hoops and mental health. There's a special ticket price for the evening that includes hot dog, chips and drink. A portion of tickets purchased through Clarity CGC will be donated back to Clarity. All proceeds benefit the children receiving care at Clarity CGC.

Clarity CGC to host NAMI Basics course beginning on Saturday, October 8
NAMI Basics is a free, six session course for parents and primary caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness. The program is taught by trained teachers who are also the parents or family caregivers of individuals who experienced emotional or behavioral difficulties prior to age 13.
NAMI Basics is offered by NAMI San Antonio, the local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The program will be held beginning Saturday, October 8th at 10 am at Clarity Child Guidance Center.
