Claritycon2016 Friday keynote speaker Dan Matthews, MD, to speak on DMDD
Dan Matthews, MD, is a Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatrist and has published widely on topics relating to the assessment and treatment of impulsive, explosively aggressive youth. He is Corporate Medical Director of Neuropsychiatric Services at Neurobehavioral Systems, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). He is considered an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of impulsive aggression in children and teens.

Dr. Matthews will discuss Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), the new diagnosis that more accurately describes the disruptive irritability, accompanied by recurrent aggressive episodes, which characterizes these children. He will present effective, evidence-based treatment alternatives. Untreated, DMDD can result in failed hospitalizations, substance abuse, school drop-outs, incarceration and other life impairing events.

Claritycon2016 is Thursday and Friday, June 16 and 17 at the Norris Conference Center, on Loop 410 near Blanco Road.
