Special Education Support Services
Register today: New parent training about Special Education.



Brighton Center, in partnership with Clarity Child Guidance Center, will present a free parent training program focused on helping parents and their children navigate the education system. The program is called Special Education Support Services (SESS) and it will be offered twice - on Thursday, November 5 and Thursday, November 12. (Attendees can pick which class to attend. You do not need to attend both classes.)



The SESS class includes:
  • Special education law
  • The ARD Process
  • Certificate with 3 credit hours
  • Complimentary meal, beverage & childcare

In this video replay, Kasi Howard, PsyD, director of training and staff psychologist at the Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio, covers the clinical presentation of eating disorders, and reviews diagnostic changes from DSM 5. Her presentation also includes appropriate treatment and referral options for eating disorder patients, and identifies signs and symptoms of an eating disorder.

The Center for Family Relations
November & December Parenting Education Development classes.



The next session of the Brighton Center 10-part series of Parenting Classes called Precious Minds New Connections will begin on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Clarity Child Guidance Center.



However, The Center for Family Relations is offering a series of Parenting Education Development Classes in November and December. The classes will include free childwatch during classes, a hot meal and a year of free counseling during and after the program.

Clarity CGC Teen Group
New Teen Group forming on Monday, January 4, 2016.



Clarity CGC is forming a new Teen Group for San Antonio teens (ages 14-17). The group sessions provide a confidential place for teens to discuss relationship issues with other teens. Participants will have the opportunity to grow in their ability to establish and maintain healthy meaningful relationships. They will learn about themselves and their relationships through peer interaction.



WHEN: Every Monday, 4:30 - 6:00 pm, beginning January 4, 2016



WHERE: Clarity Child Guidance Center Outpatient Campus, 2135 Babcock Road, 78229



COST: $25/session (may be a covered benefit under your insurance plan)
