free community presentation: the juvenile justice system
| Free community presentation is scheduled for Friday, October 10 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
 The Clarity CGC October community event is going to provide attendees with a unique opportunity to learn about the Bexar County juvenile justice system from the perspectives of two very special guests. Bexar County Judges Lisa Jarrett, 436th District Court, and Laura Parker, 386th District Court, will be the featured speakers for the Clarity CGC monthly community event on Friday, October 10. The topic of their presentation is "The Juvenile Justice System."
During this two hour presentation, participants will:
- Identify the target population of juvenile delinquency
- Explore the juvenile justice system from inception to outcome
- Discover alternatives to juvenile incarceration
The program qualifies for 2 hours of CEU credit (LPC, LMSW, LMFT, NAADAC and PhD). Space is limited so please RSVP.

One in Five Minds partnership with TEDxSanAntonio results in thought-provoking Mental Health Salon
As promised, attendees laughed, cried and were challenged during this powerful mental health event! Clarity CGC, through our advocacy campaign, One in Five Minds, collaborated with TEDxSanAntonio to offer a unique salon on children's mental health called Where are the Casseroles? It was a powerful afternoon of knowledge sharing, audience engagement and, yes, casserole conversations.
Attendees also had the opportunity to:
- Experience what it's like for a child to suffer from mental illness
- Hear remarkable speakers
- Share their written and video personal stories
- Learn from parent conversations
- Discover new scientific insight, and
- Take part in interactive activities to reduce stigma (like the innovative Theater of the Oppressed pictured above)

october 1 & 2: parenting class sessions - two days a week*

We offer English or Spanish parenting classes on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings
Classes in English are held Wednesday evenings, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., at our Main Campus on Tom Slick Drive, and Thursday mornings, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., at our Outpatient Campus on Babcock Road.
Classes in Spanish are held Wednesday evenings, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., at the Main Campus and Thursday mornings, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at the Outpatient Campus.
