The cost of a day of treatment to keep a distressed child from being hospitalized is $325. This is much less than the cost for a local hospital emergency room visit for the child (up to $1,500) - who in many cases is uninsured or underinsured. Clarity CGC provides effective treatment, while keeping health care costs down.

free community presentation: medication management and behavioral intervention for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
| Free community presentation is scheduled for Friday, January 10 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Tiffany Thomure, MD, child and adolescent psychiatrist at Clarity CGC, will be the featured speaker for the Clarity CGC monthly community event on Friday, January 10. The topic of her presentation is "Medication Management and Behavioral Intervention for ADHD."
During this 2-hour presentation, Dr. Thomure will discuss differential diagnosis (such as PTSD), medication options and behavioral interventions. The presentation goals and objectives will include:
- Symptoms of ADHD
- Medication management
- Behavioral interventions
- Recommendations for schools and parents
The program qualifies for 2 hours of CEU credit (LPC, LMSW, NAADAC and PhD). Space is limited, so please RSVP.

save the date: one in five minds campaign first anniversary celebration

San Antonio teens talking about real issues
 Clarity CGC has a group just for San Antonio teens (ages 14-17). The group sessions provide a confidential place for teens to discuss relationship issues with other teens. Participants will have the opportunity to grow in their ability to establish and maintain healthy meaningful relationships. They will learn about themselves and their relationships through peer interaction.

january 9: new parenting class sessions - now on thursdays

Register to attend our English or Spanish parenting classes, on Thursday mornings or evenings
A new session of 2014 parenting classes have begun on Thursdays at Clarity CGC. Classes in English are held 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday mornings at our Outpatient Campus on Babcock, and 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Main Campus on Tom Slick Drive.
Classes in Spanish are held Thursday mornings 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Outpatient Campus, and 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Main Campus.
- January 9 - Creating a Healthy Family
- January 16 - Communication within the Family
- January 23 - Establishing Authority as a Parent and Using Effective Discipline Techniques
- January 30 - Dealing with Anger and Conflict in the Family
- February 6 - Nurturing Children's Self-Esteem
- February 13 - Raising 21st Century Kids
