This is much less than the cost for a local hospital emergency room visit for the child (up to $1,500) - who in many cases is uninsured or underinsured. We are a nonprofit mental health treatment center providing programs designed specifically for kids ages 3-17. Our goal is to provide families throughout South Texas greater access to children's mental health care regardless of their ability to pay.

rachel's story: an answer to prayer 
Caring for her daughter through the pain

 

"Rachel" had an idea why her daughter "Christine" was struggling with depression, but hoped she was wrong. Rachel had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in her 20's and had been contending with it most of her life. She had managed to keep it under control as an adult, but following the birth of her second daughter, Rachel went through a manic episode. Her fear was that her daughters, especially Christine, would eventually have to deal with their own mental health experience.

november 16: enjoy great views and a great time      
Join us on Saturday, November 16, from 1-4 p.m. for free food and children's activities to benefit Clarity CGC

 

 

Please make plans to join us on Saturday, November 16, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, for free food provided by Buffalo Wings and Rings, amazing giveaways, and plenty of kid-friendly fun! Our free children's activities include face painting, arts & crafts, and fun outdoor activities, where every child receives a prize!


This event is courtesy of the Build It Up Challenge from our friends at Southerland Communities, a National Land Partners affiliate, along with local builders, McMillin Homes and WhiteStone Custom Homes. 

 

During the month of November, every home site or home sale purchased will result in the opportunity for a donation to Clarity CGC. Southerland has already featured Clarity CGC in their August event, where we received $5,000!

We have a beautiful way to support children's mental health. With your $100 or more donation to Clarity Child Guidance Center in November, you will receive this beautiful sterling silver pendant.

The pinwheel is a symbol of children's mental health awareness. It represents the joys of childhood and our commitment to help children in our community struggling with mental illness.

 

This sterling silver pendant was designed exclusively for Clarity Child Guidance Center by renowned Fredericksburg jeweler, Jeep Collins. We appreciate their craftsmanship and their support for providing charitable care treatment for children struggling with mental, emotional or behavioral issues.

 

Your donation of $100 or more can change lives here in San Antonio.

 

From November 1 to November 30, 2013, you will receive the Jeep Collins pinwheel pendant (chain not included) for a $100 or more donation to Clarity Child Guidance Center.

november 7: parenting classes

Register to attend our English or Spanish parenting classes, on Thursday mornings or evenings     

 

A new session of parenting classes begins next week at Clarity CGC. Classes in English are held 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday mornings at our Outpatient Campus on Babcock, and 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Main Campus on Tom Slick Drive. 

 

Classes in Spanish are held Thursday mornings 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Outpatient Campus, and 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Main Campus.    

  • November 7 - Nurturing Children's Self-Esteem 
  • November 14 - Raising 21st Century Kids  
Cost: $5.00 per session (financial assistance available)

 

Parenting Classes
Space is limited, and available on a first come-first seated basis
