october 14: join us for one in five minds presents: a conversation with liza long

Author of viral blog post, 'I am Adam Lanza's Mother'
Please plan to join us on Monday, October 14, in the Whitley Center at the Oblate School of Theology for One in Five Minds Presents: A Conversation with Liza Long.
This event is presented by Clarity Child Guidance Center, sponsor of the One in Five Minds advocacy campaign, and the Oblate School of Theology.
Liza is an author from Boise, Idaho, and the mother of four exceptional children (three boys and one girl), one of whom has a mental illness. Following the Newtown shootings in December 2012, Liza wrote the blog post, 'I Am Adam Lanza's Mother': A Mom's Perspective On The Mental Illness Conversation in America.
During this conversation, Liza will discuss her experiences when her blog post went viral, as well as life raising a child with a mental illness. Robert Rivard, publisher of the Rivard Report and former editor of the San Antonio Express News, will interview Long and moderate questions from the audience. To reserve your seat, please RSVP today.
One in Five Minds was founded to raise awareness, to end stigma and to increase access to treatment for children whether or not their families can pay for it. Will you become an advocate? Learn more here.

Whataburger delivers meals to go for kids and staff at Clarity CGC!
The Clarity CGC dining hall staff does a tremendous job providing balanced meals for our kids and staff - 3 times a day, 7 days a week!
Recently though, our dining staff got the chance to take a partial dinner break, because our friends at Whataburger provided meals of chicken strips, apple slices and cookies for our kids and staff one evening. It was enjoyed by all!
Thank you Whataburger for your tasty support!
