Executive Assistant Network is a fun, interactive and social business membership organisation for all Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants in Australia designed to provide them with a range of comprehensive tools, web based resources, education and training programs, a chat room, research and business articles, a recruitment and job portal plus regular Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants Networking Functions. QANTAS INTRODUCES NEW FREQUENT FLYER MEMBERSHIP CARD
Later this year, Qantas will introduce a new-look membership card which will be called Qantas Cash. Qantas Cash will allow Australia-based members to pre-load money onto the card to spend both in Australia and overseas. It will also give members the opportunity to earn points on eligible purchases when spending their own money. 
The new card will also act as a multi-currency travel card, which will make travel for Qantas members more convenient. By partnering with MasterCard, travellers can use Qantas Cash wherever MasterCard is accepted - at over 35 million locations in over 210 countries worldwide. For everyday use in Australia, Qantas Cash will be a great alternative to carrying money. It can also be used to shop online and when purchasing from overseas, payment can be made in international currency.
The all new cards will be Q Chip enabled too, which means holders of the new card will be able to access Qantas Faster, Smarter Check-in at airports.
All eligible Australia-based Qantas Frequent Flyer members will be given the opportunity to request a new card with Qantas Cash and Q Chip enabled. |
BRITISH AIRWAYS AND CATHAY PACIFIC CODE SHARE EXTENDED TO AUSTRALIA
British Airways and Cathay Pacific have agreed to enter into a code share agreement for flights to and from Australia starting from 31 March 2013.
The arrangement, which is pending Australian regulatory approval, will mean British Airways customers travelling to and from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Cairns can fly on Cathay Pacific services with a British Airways flight number when connecting onto one of British Airways 14 weekly services between Hong Kong and London.
 The Cathay Pacific code share flights are an addition to British Airways' daily direct flights from London Heathrow to Sydney via Singapore.
The new code share with Cathay Pacific will allow British Airways to serve all major Australian cities and provide customers with increased schedule options and flexibility. Customers travelling via Hong Kong will arrive at London Heathrow's Terminal 5 and have access to British Airways' extensive European network, whilst providing a single itinerary and through-checked bags. |
NEW SERVICES FOR VIRGIN AUSTRALIA 
Virgin Australia announced that they will commence flights between Brisbane and Moranbah in regional Queensland as well as commence flights between Brisbane and Bundaberg on 2 April 13.
There will be morning and afternoon service departures from both Brisbane and Moranbah on all weekdays and one return flight Sunday afternoon.
The flight between Brisbane and Bundaberg will be a midday flight. This flight is convenient for holiday makers and business travellers alike, as there are 11 domestic and international connections within three hours of the flight landing in Brisbane. On both routes, travellers will be able to earn points with Virgin Australia's award winning loyalty program, Velocity Flyer.
Virgin Australia also announced that they would commence flying their two-class wide body Airbus A330 aircraft from Brisbane to Perth. From 15 May 13, two out of three weekday return services between Brisbane and Perth will be operated by an Airbus A330. To make the journey more comfortable, this service will feature luxury seating in Business and Economy Class, with fully inclusive hot meals, beverages and in-flight entertainment included on all "Coast to Coast" flights.

QANTAS TO UPGRADE A330 BUSINESS CLASS WITH NEW LIE-FLAT
Qantas will upgrade its entire Airbus A330 fleet with a new lie-flat business class seat from the end of 2014. Qantas has chosen an all-new seat design rather than stick with the Skybeds, the new design can be found on the Airbus A380s and upgraded Boeing 747s. The new lie-flat business class seats have plenty of legroom and Qantas is very confident that passengers will enjoy the new product.
The fleet-wide refit will encompass ten Airbus A330 -300s and twenty A330-200s and will also include a new inflight entertainment system plus a refreshed economy cabin. The A330-300s will be operated by Qantas International on its network between Australia and Asia, while the A330-200s will be operated by Qantas Domestic on routes between the east coast and Perth - enabling the final retirement of the Group's Boeing 767s. |
