Over the past three weeks, the members of both Caravan RV & Accommodation Industry of Australia Ltd (CRVA) and RVM Australia (RVMA) overwhelmingly supported the merging of both organisations under a single united national entity, the Caravan Industry Association of Australia which is scheduled to be operational in early July 2014.
A board comprising the directors from the current boards of RVMA and CRVA will govern the new entity during a period of transition, and one of its key priorities is to establish an RV Manufacturers' Advisory Subcommittee. This subcommittee will provide RV manufacturers with direct access to Caravan Industry Association of Australia's board and play a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of RV manufacturers are heard on matters affecting the sector.
The board has appointed RVMA board member Terry Steel, of Jurgens Australia, as foundation chairman of the RV Manufacturers' Advisory Subcommittee.
Nominations are now called from RV manufacturers to join this subcommittee in accordance with the RV Manufacturers' Subcommittee's Charter.
If you are interested in taking an active role in ensuring that the voices of RV manufacturers are heard on matters affecting the RV manufacturing sector at large, you are encouraged to nominate by completing the online form by COB Friday 9 May. Please refer to the Manufacturers' Advisory Subcommittee Charter for further details on the nomination and selection process including membership criteria.
Thank you for your consideration of this key industry initiative. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
With kind regards
