Mt. Zion's Trayvon Bromell Wins Big 12 Outstanding Freshman Honor

In a vote of the conference's head coaches, Baylor track and field sprinter Trayvon Bromell won the Big 12 Outstanding Freshman Award for the 2014 outdoor season, league officials announced Thursday.
Bromell is the third Baylor athlete to capture the outdoor freshman honor, joining LeJerald Betters (2007) and Brandon Couts (1998). Bromell's current BU teammate, Felix Obi, won the indoor freshman accolade in 2013.
