Gain Knowledge and Understanding

"Moody Bible Institute will teach you how to understand, apply and communicate the truth of God's Word in today's world. The goal for students at Moody is both a solid knowledge of God's Word and a profound understanding of the Word. When knowledge and understanding come together, they can't be kept inside, but will be expressed through your life now and into the future."

Classes start January 17th, and you may qualify for financial aid.  To learn more, visit:  www.moodyministries.net and follow the link for Distance Learning.

Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. King, both a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist, had a seismic impact on race relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s. Among many efforts, King headed the SCLC. Through his activism, he played a pivotal role in ending the legal segregation of African-American citizens in the South and other areas of the nation,  as well as the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, among several other honors. King was assassinated April 4, 1968, and continues to be remembered as one of the most lauded African-American leaders in history, often referenced by his 1963 speech, "I Have a Dream."

In addition, his "If I had sneezed" also known as "I've Been to the Mountaintop," speech contains a prophetic message that was delivered less than 24 hours before his assassination.  Below is a video excerpt along with the full transcript.
