Relive Holy Week & Easter -

Photos on Flickr Page

During Holy Week we experienced the life-saving mysteries of Christ's death and resurrection anew. The services of Holy Week are the most meaningful and life-changing services of the year for many. During Holy Week, we not only remembered Christ's saving acts for us, but we entered into the Paschal Mystery. We participated in the very acts of Christ's passion, so that on Easter we could become God's Resurrection people, agents of God's transforming love to this broken world. Relive the week here and our Flickr page!

Cooking Demonstration Anyone?
Lenore Hughes, wife of Gethin Hughes, retired Bishop of San Diego and former Priest at ASBTS and author of Cups of Fortune, is writing a cookbook featuring her favorite Armenian recipes. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have tasted a few of her recipes are eagerly awaiting its publication.

Lenore has been giving cooking demonstrations to small classes at her home in Los Olivos and has offered to plan a special cooking demonstration for a group from ASBTS. If you are interested, please contact Judy Mack at [email protected]. Please include some dates you would be free to drive to Los Olivos in the morning, returning after the lunch we will have watched Lenore prepare.

Carpinteria Food Distribution Wednesday

As Christians we are called to be the heart and hands of Jesus Christ in the world. At All Saints, we are blessed to be able to do this in a variety of ways, including our feeding ministries. On Wednesday, April 22, everyone is invited to help put free, healthy food in the hands of appreciative low income families. From 1-2 p.m. we will package and distribute on-site donations of fruits and vegetables at the Carpinteria Children's Project on Main, located at 5201 8th Street in Carp. Thirty-five families throughout our community count on these donations. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate. If you are unable to serve this coming Wednesday, help is needed every fourth Wednesday of the month. Please contact David Boyd at [email protected].
"There's a Wideness in God's Mercy"

June 19 - 21, 2015
Mount Calvary Monastery and Retreat House
Santa Barbara, CA

Many of us were raised with an image of God as the just judge who would throw the book at us if we didn't behave. In this retreat, Br. Bob Pierson will share his reflections on the hymn text "There's a Wideness in God's Mercy," and will show through the parables of Jesus and several events in Jesus' life that he shared a
much different image of God with his followers.

Br. Bob Pierson is a monk in The Order of the Holy Cross at Mount
Calvary Monastery and Retreat House in Santa Barbara, CA.

A Continued Sign of Our Baptism

The filled font in the westward baptistry stands as a continual sign of our baptism. We enter church through the waters of baptism, and we enter back into the world through the waters of baptism. Wherever we go, we are the Body of Christ, called to carry out the promises we make at our baptism.

Feel free to touch the water and mark your head as you enter the church, and enter back into the world.
