  • OPSB-HANO Property Exchange
    • Approved Option to Exchange and Transfer of Property
    • Contingent upon Board approval when list of properties finalized
  • Employment Contract of Deputy Superintendent of Charter Schools
    • Nullified by a vote of 4-2 the contract based upon lack of prior Board authorization of terms and conditions
      • Stated that the employment and salary of Deputy remains as approved by OPSB for an at-will employee reporting directly to Board
      • Prior to vote, an amendment failed which would have approved the contract subject to setting termination for 12/31/2014 or 6 months after new superintendent is hired
  • Karr CHS - New School Building
    • Approved building the new Karr CHS using the design-build delivery system

President's Announcement

  • Board President Ira Thomas announced that at the next OPSB meeting he would ask Board to approve a request to the Louisiana Attorney General for an opinion regarding the legality of his service on OPSB while also serving as security director at SUNO
