This month we have Part 2 of Dr. Brent's article on prevention of nearsightedness. Some new treatments for this extremely common condition are probably not too far away. We also have a new website for you to check out along with some videos we've put together for your information. Enjoy reading our latest newsletter and, as always, your comments are welcome and appreciated!
Sincerely,
Dr. Tom Wilk, Dr Michele Naruszewicz and Associates

New Treatment for Digital Eye Strain
|
Computer use has rapidly increased over the last two decades among all age groups. Are they hard on your eyes? It's such a widespread problem that a new term has been invented to describe this condition - "Digital Eye Strain".

World Sight Day Challenge A Success
|
It was a combined effort from Mountain View Optometry's patients, staff, suppliers, our local businesses, and doctors that resulted in another hugely successful fundraising campaign for Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) last month. OGS raises funds every year for the more than 600 million people worldwide who cannot see clearly due to lack of access to basic eye care services such as an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
While the final tally is not yet in, we know that thousands of dollars were raised between our two locations from our Silent Auction, bake sale, cash donations and professional fee donations. A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone involved in our fundraising campaign - without all of you we would not have had nearly as much impact. A special thanks to Katrina Cavanagh who organized the campaign for the second year in a row - without your commitment this would not have happened!
