Dear Friends of BBLA, This time I would like to introduce a new website of our Vaclav Havel Library Foundation [VHLF] where you can learn about the legacy and works of Vaclav Havel whose name became synonymous with the 1989 Velvet Revolution. In that peaceful event, 15 million people began to enjoy a freer life after decades of oppression.
As you know, we have brought VHLF to our home last year and we could not be more proud of its importance on the global level. The Foundation plays a very important role in the Czech - American relations as the heads of both governments atone to. Together with our sister organization, the American Friends of the Czech Republic based in Washington, D.C., we keep the doors open here for the Czech Republic in the world of diplomacy, culture and business. Thank you, Joseph Balaz, President Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association
