STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

Each week, our teachers nominate a Student of the Week for each grade level who are consistently "Doing the Right Thing" academically and behaviorally. Last week's BMS Students of the Week are:

LAST WEEK OF TESTING

The 8th grade will take the ODE science test on Monday. The 6th grade will take the ODE social studies test on Tuesday. All grades will finish up math PARCC testing on Thursday and Friday. Please be sure your child is on time to school.

 

SPINNEY AWARDS FOR BMS

Beachwood Board of Education's Spinney Awards program for BMS students is next Monday, May 11, 7:30 pm at BMS. This program recognizes students who have placed, excelled, or earned distinguished honors in competitions or extracurricular activities. Click here to view the list of BMS students who will be recognized and plan to attend with your child if he or she is on the list. The recognition and refreshments portion of the board meeting should conclude around 8 pm. Appropriate attire for students is requested (no shorts, jeans or ballcaps). The public is invited to stay for the business portion of the board meeting following the reception.

 

BMS YEARBOOKS

The 2014-2015 Beachwood Middle School Yearbook is now for sale. Click here to pre-order your yearbook today! The yearbooks are $35 and checks can also be dropped off in the school office.

6TH GRADE HIRAM HOUSE CAMP

Please click here to print a copy Hiram House Program Participation Agreement Formand return this form no later than May 1. The camp fee is $122. Checks can be made to Beachwood City Schools and dropped off at the middle school office. All camp fees must be paid in full by May 1. If your child plans on attending camp only during the day, please let the front office know as soon as possible.

 

6TH & 8TH GRADE SPRING TRIPS

If your child has medication needs and will be attending 6th grade camp or the 8th grade Washington, DC trip, please click here to complete the medical forms. All medication is due into the nurse's office two weeks before the trip.

 

8TH GRADE CAREER SHADOW DAY

The 8th Grade Career Shadow Day is on Friday, May 15. Click here to read Mr. Winston's email with forms and details, and please begin discussing with your child who and where they will shadow.

 

SAVE THE DATE

The 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony is Thursday, June 11, at 8:15 am, in the BMS Gymnasium.
