STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
Each week, our teachers nominate a Student of the Week for each grade level who are consistently "Doing the Right Thing" academically and behaviorally. Last week's BMS Students of the Week are:

STUDY CLUB
Study Club will be offered after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 - 4 pm, during the school year for 6th and 7th graders. Study Club will be offered after school on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3 - 4 pm, during the school year for 8th graders. Study Club is recommended for students who need additional help or have trouble completing work. Students are welcome to take the 4:10 pm late bus home.

The 6th Grade Study Club begins on Thursday, Sept. 11. The 6th grade advisors include Mrs. McLaughlin, Mrs. McCormac, and Mrs. Tucker.

The 7th Grade Study Club begins on Thursday, Sept. 11. The 7th grade advisor is Mrs. Goodman.
- The 8th Grade Study Club begins on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The 8th grade advisors are Mrs. Urbanski (Mondays) and Mrs. Vitek (Wednesdays).
INTERNET SAFETY
Next Monday, Sept. 22, "Keeping it Safe in Cyber Hood" will be presented by the Cleveland prosecutor's office to BMS students during advisory. Students will be reviewing safe practices on the internet. The presentation will cover cyberbulling, sexting, and internet predators.
BMS SCHOLARS MEETING
The BMS Scholars will have their yearly kick-off meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7 pm, in the BMS cafeteria. This meeting is open to all parents and students interested in joining Scholar's this school year.

WASHINGTON, DC TRIP PARENT MEETING
All 8th grade parents are invited to attend the Washington, DC, Parent Information meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 7 pm, in the BMS auditorium. Representatives from Discovery Tours will be on hand to discuss the field trip and payment information.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PTO
The Middle School PTO is taking pre-orders for our fall Beachwood graduation year class t-shirts. Shirts are cotton, black, short sleeved. The front reads "Beachwood" along with the bison mascot. The back of the shirt is the graduation year (2019, 2020 or 2021) with the name of each student for that grade listed. Click here to download the form, then turn it in with your payment at Open House or to the school office by Oct. 17.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PTO MEETING
The first BMS PTO meeting is Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 pm, in the BMS Library/Media Center. The meeting will review the next generation assessments, including PARCC and AIM. Students will be completing these tests in both March and May of 2015.
