DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
I am pleased to announce five exciting travel programs.
These trips are designed for passionate travelers who also hold an interest in photography. The locations are visually stunning with a focus on natural landscapes, colorful wildlife, and diverse cultures.
Destinations include: Alaska, Ecuador (the Galapagos Islands), Death Valley, Southwest National Parks (Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon), and Cuba.
Mountain Travel Sobek ( www.mtsobek.com), one of the most experienced and highest quality adventure travel companies in the world, will produce and operate four of these programs (see details below).
Cross Cultural Journeys Foundation ( www.crossculturaljourneys.com), a U.S. government licensed, highly experienced tour operator in Cuba will produce and operate the Cuba program (see details below).
I will serve as a guest photographer and support the MTS leadership for each of the MTS trips. Local guides, naturalists, and other experienced experts are a part of the team. I will collaborate with Cross Cultural Journeys' local Cuban guides as well. The group size will be held to a relatively small number. The itineraries are built with flexibility. Early morning, sunset, and evening outings as well as hands-on photography tutorials are built into the experience.
Please consider joining me!

TRIP OUTLINE
There are four initial photo exploration tours from Mountain Travel Sobek ...
An introduction to these programs is provided on MTS' home page. Details are provided throughout MTS' website.
Explore action-packed Southeast Alaska while staying inn-to-inn (no camping!)
"This tour is crafted to include guests' favorite Alaskan activities: watching whales, full day tour of Glacier Bay National Park, trip to Anan Bear Sanctuary, hiking amidst alpine wildflowers, and myriad other active Alaskan adventures." MTS
"Hands-on naturalist guides and photography support make learning easy, opening the doors for life-changing encounters with nature. Whether you snorkel among sea turtles and exotic fish, lounge on the beach alongside playful sea lion pups, hike into lava tubes to watch the volcanic activity of the islands unfold, swim off the deck of your yacht, or kayak through serene mangroves, you won't get a more intimate a wildlife experience at so active and relaxed a pace!" MTS
"Hike through three of the National Park Service's crown jewels: the Grand Canyon, with its awesome walls of red rock, hundreds of plunging waterfalls, and narrow slot canyons; Bryce Canyon, a fairytale amphitheater of spires, columns, and pink hoodoos (pinnacles); and Zion Canyon, a "Yosemite dressed in red." MTS
"Experience the land of America's greatest extremes at Death Valley National Park, where the tallest peaks in the country surround the lowest depths. Though home to the highest temperature in America on record in the summer, autumn transforms the valley into a balmy climate for our hiking adventures." MTS
MANUEL, 88 YEAR OLD RETIRED FARMER, TRINIDAD. CUBA
In addition, there is an exciting tour planned for CUBA in late October and early November. I traveled to this region last year to lead a group. Here is a link to the newsletter I wrote shortly after I returned to the United States: " CUBA - A COUNTRY IN TRANSITION." 2014 is an incredible time to witness and explore this country. Cross Cultural Journeys Foundation has produced over fifty successful trips to CUBA through a sixteen year tenure of exploration and engagement with local communities. This year, I plan to travel to both the less developed and culturally rich, eastern side of the island and to the frenetic, acclaimed city of Havana.
