Auction Ticket Presale Begins Today 
Tickets are now on sale for Strandwood's Dinner Dance Auction! Get them now at the special price of $60 each! Sales at this price will continue through February 18th, after which ticket prices will increase to $65 each.

Please look for packets that will be coming home with your oldest child today. Tickets do sell out, so don't wait!! Please return your ticket order to the office in the envelope provided. Tickets may also be purchased online at  www.strandwood.org beginning today.
General PTA Meeting this Thursday
7 pm - 8:30 pm in the Library
Please make plans to join us for this month's general PTA meeting on Thursday, February 7th at 7 pm. The meetings usually last between an hour and a half to two hours.

This month we are pleased to welcome our 5th grade teachers. They will be speaking about their classrooms and what is expected of your children as they move into 5th grade. Parents of 4th graders, this is an excellent opportunity for you to get a head start on knowing what is in store for your children next year!

As always, babysitting is provided at no charge. Hope to see you there!

Upper Grade Book Swap Coming Up
 Attention parents!

 

Do you have third to fifth grade level books that you no longer need? Hold on to them for a few more weeks! Books will be collected from Feb. 25 - Feb. 28 for the Upper Grade Book Swap on March 1.  The swap is an annual tradition at Strandwood that encourages reading. More details will follow in future Roadrunners. Volunteers are needed to help set up the swap and work shifts on the day of the event. If you can help, please e-mail Amanda Szakats at  communications@strandwood.org. Thank you! 
 
Free Financial Workshop Sponsored by Teen Center

Change to FPHE Campaign 
Last Monday's Roadrunner featured an article on the upcoming FPHE (Foundation for Pleasant Hill Education) Annual Campaign. Unfortunately, the FPHE had to change the date of the 5th Anniversary Party.

The new date is Saturday, April 20th. Please see this flyer for more information on the event, and to donate. If you have any questions, please email generalinfo@fphe.org.
