Clear panels were installed along Rt 805 in Chula Vista, California.  This is the second installation of ACRYLITEŽ Soundstop in Chula Vista, and one of many in Southern California where visibility is highly valued due in part to the fantastic views from this valley landscape. 

Smoky Brown, tinted ACRYLITEŽ Soundstop was installed along Rt 15 in East Hartford, Connecticut for the first clear noise barrier installation in this state.  This barrier, replacing a failing wood barrier on a bridge over Silver Lane (Rt 502) uses fragment retaining Soundstop panels in Ready Fit frames to provide aesthetic benefit and an enhanced level of safety.

 
The first Crash Tested, ACRYLITEŽ Soundstop TL4 system, in Ontario was installed along the Herb Gray Parkway (ON-401) in Windsor.  This system was designed and shown to withstand TL4 level crash tests to attain approval from the US Federal Highway Administration.  This crash tested system has now been installed in seven states / provinces with pending installations in two additional states.

The second installation in the Binghamton, NY area occurred recently with clear panels generally making up the top third of the noise barrier walls.  Partially concrete / partially transparent walls such as this are a common way to block out sights of traffic while maintaining views of more elevated scenery and lowering the negative effects of tall walls.
