2012 Election: A Great Year for Women - Around the Country and Right Here in Rhode Island

In addition to national electoral victories for women, in the White House and in Congress, RI NOW is thrilled that our own State House will be more pro-woman and pro-equality than it was before. We are pleased that 100% of our PAC-endorsed candidates in the general election were victorious this year, and that they will be joined by additional progressive legislators in January. We are grateful to our coalition partners at Planned Parenthood Votes! RI, Ocean State Action, and Fight Back RI, for all they did to help make progressive candidates successful in this election. We welcome the opportunity to work with a more pro-woman, pro-equality General Assembly during the upcoming legislative session. Here are some of the new faces we'll be seeing up at the State House this year:

Every time you order out or eat a meal at Uno throughout the month of November, 20% of the check will be donated to the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless when you present this coupon. You can also rent out an Uno's location for an event and use the coupon to help out the Coalition. If you don't have a coupon with you, the restaurant should have them available upon request. Even if you only go to Uno one time this November, your contribution will help enormously in funding programs like the Speaker's Bureau, and their advocacy efforts, and Homeless Bill of Rights implementation.
