Howdy,

Wow, what a month. In April we collected and analyzed thousands of bits of data for the R&S Business Metric survey. My website went through a minor but important usability upgrade. And I learned how to manage a YouTube page, an RSS feed, and some pesky formatting issues across all my social media. Plus, we're getting ready for InfoComm and preparing several new products for launch including customer-based market research designed to help your company's marketing efforts.

In this month's issue of AV Matters I am featuring my articles a little differently. Let me know if you like this format. Plus, you can now access new content as I create it via your RSS reader. This way I can share more blog entries, and make it easier for you to share around your company. 

InfoComm is like, a few short weeks away. Folks are already scheduling appointments with me, and soon I will reaching out to many of you for a few minutes of your time. This is the one time of year that we can have a quick face-to-face conversation without a lot of added expense. Think of it as speed dating. I hope to see you there.

Here's a few scribbles from the margins: 

Some portion of your customers will pay you what the job is worth to them, and that amount is more than you would think to charge. Do you know who those customers are?

If you are selling widgets, you ask for order at the end of the presentation. When you are trying to develop a long-term client for your services - wait for them to ask you for your proposal.
