"The 2012 Chardonnay exudes gorgeous pineapple, green mango and white peach notes with underlying hints of honeyed toast, cashews and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it is densely packed with tropical and stone fruit flavors complimented with honey-nut nuances, refreshing acid and a long, toasty finish."

"The 2012 Section 94 captures the nose with pretty peach and apple blossom notes allied to suggestions of cedar, grapefruit peel and dried herbs. With great intensity on the medium-bodied, satin-textured palate, the lively acid holds through a long, mineral finish."

"Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, the 2012 Pinot Noir opens to a lovely core of red and black cherry fruits accented with hints of violets, lavender, forest floor and mossy bark. Medium-bodied, it has a solid backbone of grainy tannins and lively acid supporting the muscular berry and earthy flavors. It finishes long and clean."

Dog Point's Ivan Sutherland and James Healy, the former chief viticulturalist (Sutherland) and oenologist (Healy) at Marlborough's renowned Cloudy Bay, are two of New Zealand's most influential winegrowers. Together with legendary winemaker Kevin Judd they established Cloudy Bay as a New World icon, which during the 1990's became one of the world's most fashionable wines. When Cloudy Bay was eventually bought by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, Sutherland and Healy departed to create Dog Point.

Produced from the magnificent vineyards planted in the 70's and 80's that formerly supplied Cloudy Bay, Dog Point wines are amongst the most refined in New Zealand, compellingly combining New World vitality and Old World minerality. Winegrowing is impeccable; the grapes are hand-picked, and winemaking is non-interventionist. The wines offered today represent the very best of Marlborough. They are beautifully balanced, complex, and truly astonishing value for money.

"Medium red. Subtly complex nose offers strawberry, cherry, raspberry, underbrush and chocolatey oak, all lifted by a whiff of rose petal. Sweeter and lusher than the Cristina bottling, but still with a delicacy to its red fruit flavors. Here the acidity is in better harmony with the wine's fruit. Nicely filled in pinot, finishing with very good juicy persistence."

"Noticeable but not intrusive wood is set off against ripe red berry fruit and intense earth aromas that are also picked up by the rich, full, serious and impressively concentrated flavors that possess an attractive texture and fine length and where the structural elements possess slightly better phenolic ripeness. This is very Pommard in style without being tough."
