COMMERCIAL LINES UPDATEAPRIL 2, 2015
2015 TRIA Disclosure & Policyholder
Notice Update
Arbella Insurance Group - Here for good

As you are aware, the Terrorism Risk Act has been renewed by Congress.

ISO has made form filings in all states, which are not all approved yet. The Department of Treasury requires carriers to send policyholder notices directly to insureds confirming the rescission of the Conditional TRIA Exclusion Notices currently on policies.

Additionally, new and revised Offers of Terrorism are introduced for Terrorism quotes going forward. The new Offers do not reflect a change in rates, but a modification of language to match congressional changes to the Act. The new Offer, 28AP1273, Policyholder Disclosure 2 Notice of Terrorism Insurance Coverage, will only be issued on policies that have purchased Terrorism coverage. The revised Offer, 28AP1264, 2015 Terrorism Update Policyholder Notice, will continue to be used in all other situations when Terrorism is quoted.

These forms will be released as soon as practicable.

As a reminder, it is the responsibility of agents to maintain a copy of the insured's choice and signature on the Offer, which your Arbella Territory Manager will check as part of the annual audit process.

Please find copies of the new and the revised Offers linked below.
