We are very excited to announce the roll-out of a new e-application for our popular Artisan Contractor policy on Arbella Connect™. The new e-app is for new business policies effective March, 1, 2015 and after. You should continue to use the current artisan rating tool for submissions effective prior to March 1.
The look, feel and functionality of our new Artisan e-application is very similar to the BOP e-application we introduced last year. It is important for you to know that the new e-application is a true submission system. When you enter client information into the Artisan e-app, you will know right away whether the application has been accepted for issuance or referred to an underwriter. If it has been accepted for issuance, the policy will be produced and mailed out to you. If the e-app is referred to an underwriter, you will get a phone call from your underwriter within one business day.
Arbella's Artisan Contractor program is designed to provide the right amount of coverage for the right price. Check out the list of target classes in the Commercial Lines Reference Center on Arbella Connect™ or call your commercial lines underwriter right now to find out if that account sitting on your desk qualifies.
In addition to property and general liability coverage, our Tools and Installation Endorsement provides excellent coverage for loss or damage to tools that are away from the insured's premises, including tools the insured does not own, but which are in their care, custody or control. The endorsement also provides coverage for materials, supplies, equipment, machinery, and fixtures to be installed while at a job site, in storage, or in transit.
We think that you will find the new Artisan Contractor e-application easy to use. The screens are dynamic based on the class codes and coverages selected, so you'll know the status of your submission immediately. We think you will also like the Quick Proposal capability our new e-app provides.
