Arbella now accepts electronic signatures for all Personal Lines and Commercial Lines voluntary new business and supplemental applications, including CL Limited Servicing Carrier business. Personal Auto MAIP assignments are not eligible for e-signatures and continue to require signed paper applications.

Approved Vendors and Minimum Requirements

Select one of the two Arbella-approved vendors: DocuSign® or EchoSign®. Both vendors comply with ESIGN (Electronic Signatures in Global and National Act) and UETA (Uniform Electronic Transactions Act).

You are responsible for contracting with either vendor independently to obtain the e-signature solution, set-up, and training best suited for your agency's needs.     

• DocuSign Minimum Requirements:
  • PROFESSIONAL edition or higher
  • Use of Access Code for authentication - refer to vendor for set-up
  • Use of Consumer Disclosure acceptance - refer to vendor for set-up

Procedures

You may now start using e-signatures for voluntary new business and supplemental applications. All electronically signed applications must be retained at your office and include the Certificate of Completion (including proof of authentication and consumer disclosure acceptance) provided by the vendor. All electronic forms and signatures are subject to agency audit guidelines.
