Annual Mileage Discount
Beginning with policies effective May 15 and later, our annual mileage discount will be revised to include two mileage categories. Eligible vehicles with an annual mileage of 0-7,500 miles will receive a 15% discount, while eligible vehicles with an annual mileage of 7,501-9,999 miles will receive a 7% discount. The MA Auto Rules and Rates Manual located in the PL Reference Center and the Auto Coverages and Discounts Tip Sheet have been updated to reflect this enhancement.
Date First Licensed: New Entry Fields Added
To ensure we have a date first licensed that reflects all driving experience, new e-application entry fields will be added to the "Drivers" screen on March 30. For entry instructions, please see the Date First Licensed Help Guide or click on the "Help Guide" link located on the Arbella Connect™ "Drivers" screen. You may see a new message if the effective date is changed to May 15 or later for previously entered applications. Refer to page 5 of the Help Guide for instructions.
Accident Forgiveness Opt-Out Preferences
If your agency has requested that the Accident Forgiveness endorsement be added to all qualifying renewals, a new option is available on the policy change "Applicant" screen, which allows you to delete Accident Forgiveness and permanently opt-out for an individual policy.
Opting out is a two-step process:
- Delete the Accident Forgiveness endorsement by selecting "No." A new prompt appears: "Opt-out option for Accident Forgiveness renewal roll-on?"
- Permanently opt-out by selecting "Yes." Refer to the "Help Bubble" located on the screen for instructions.
