Below is the e-Update for May 2014, a recap of all of the items you may have missed which are still relevant from the past month or so. We hope you'll take a few moments today or later this week to review them and use them as you see fit.

Also, this past weekend was the 31st anniversary of the U.S. Catholic bishop's peace pastoral, The Challenge of Peace. On the 25th anniversary, Pax Christi USA released this statement, a statement which we believe still has relevance for our nation's policies today. Also, if you're looking for a good, brief synopsis of The Challenge of Peace, consider this edition of the popular series from Catholic Update. Lastly, the anniversary of The Challenge of Peace also inspired Pax Christi USA to convene an historic process a few years ago to discern the "challenge of peace" in the 21st century. That process, The People's Peace Initiative, which brought together 21 national Catholic organizations, issued a final report with an executive summary which you can find by clicking here. Thank you for your efforts at continuing to keep alive the message and promise of this important pastoral letter.
