As the clock ticks on a possible military strike against Syria, we're encouraging our members and friends to do everything they can to avert any attack. Our partners at the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns have set up this "Thunderclap" to amplify our voices through social media. If you're on Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr, click this link and join with us in saying that "Nonviolent answers exist for Syria."
We're also encouraging people to continue to write letters to the editors of your local newspapers and contact your Senators and Representative on this issue until the votes are taken. The Friends Committee on National Legislation (Quakers) has provided this toll-free number to use for calls to Congress on Syria: 1-855-686-6927. Members of Pax Christi USA and other partner organizations are lobbying Members of Congress today, sharing resources like these, including the Pax Christi USA statement on Syria.
