Local Support Aids iDatix Expansion in Clearwater
Software company iDatix recently opened its new headquarters building in Clearwater, Florida, strengthening the company's presence in Pinellas County. "My roots are here in Pinellas," shares iDatix CEO and Founder Steve Allen. "I grew up in the area and launched iDatix here thirteen years ago. The County and City of Clearwater have been superb supporters of the business community; I wouldn't have wanted to expand anywhere else."
iDatix is a provider of high-quality software solutions and support services to a wide variety of industry sectors, such as national defense, manufacturing, healthcare and banking. Clients include industry giants Capital One and Tropicana.

Research Finds Florida SBDCs Have Substantial Impact on State's Economy
Fostering entrepreneurship and growing small businesses are the foundation for job creation and our state's economic vitality. Governor Rick Scott, quoted by the National Federation of Independent Businesses, stated "Small businesses are the fabric of our local communities and the backbone of the Florida's economy." As one of Florida's most important economic contributors, small businesses employ over 42 percent of the Florida's workforce and represent 98 percent of the state's firms. New research on small businesses in Florida validates this claim. According to an independent study conducted by the Haas Center for Business Research and Economic Development, Economic Impact of SBDC Business Development Activities on the Florida Economy, 2012, the Florida SBDC Network program helped entrepreneurs create, retain and save a total of 43,856 jobs across the state at a significantly low cost of $119 per job. read more...

Would you like to be part of an interactive, high-energy environment to discover and communicate the business value of your idea? StartUp Studio 1.0 allows entrepreneurs to work collaboratively with certified coaches in eight weekly, small group sessions to apply a business focused lens to their idea and assess readiness for the next stage of development - whether it is incubation, licensing or partnerships.
