Greetings!
As summer yields to autumn, Jill and I are excited about returning next week to Myanmar, where we will once again be teaching future pastors at Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT). This coming semester, we will be offering four different courses, and working with over 100 theological students, eager to take courses not otherwise available or possible on this level.
While in Southeast Asia, we will also be conducting the Spirit-Led Leader workshop/retreat to pastors and faculty members in the Chin Hills, an area that has been, up until recently, closed off to foreigners for several several decades. In March, we head to Cambodia, where we will be teaching 50 pastors for another week of Spirit-Led Leader training.
As we busily make final preparations for our return to Myanmar, we continue to be very grateful for you and all of our supporters. Our ability to thrive depends upon all those who are standing and working with us.

Please remember us in your prayers. Pray that God would protect us, preserve our health, grant us wisdom, strength, and courage, and continue to work through our ministries in life-changing ways. Our vitality and fruitfulness depend on the Holy Spirit's work in and through us. We need your prayers.
Thank you for partnering with us!
Serving Christ with you,
Tim Geoffrion
President and Teaching Minister
P.S. As we anticipate another rich ministry season in Asia, we are also excited about giving you an opportunity to see what God is doing in Myanmar and through Faith, Hope, and Love first hand. In January, participants will join us in Yangon January 21-24 for Inspire Trip 2014. We hope you will consider joining us! (See below for more details. Participation is limited to the first 15 people who sign up.)
"What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well."
-2 Timothy 2:2, NRSV

Ministry in France
Faith, Hope, and Love's formal ministry in France includes conducting periodic spiritual retreats n the Chartres Cathedral, sometimes in English, sometimes in French. Our annual French retreat is done in collaboration with the Community of Chemin Neuf (CCN), a Spirit-oriented, ecumenically focused, Catholic order founded by a Jesuit.
This August, we were invited to participate in the consecration service for multiple colleagues and friends of CCN in Domes, France. It was an incredibly joyful and Spirit-filled time, where God was praised and Christ lifted up.
 | The highpoint of the service All those being consecrated prostrated themselves before the cross signifying their commitment to serve Jesus Christ with their whole lives. |
We also come to France for spiritual renewal, to prepare for course work, and to write. Yet, while here, God gives us many informal opportunities for ministry as well--most of which are spontaneous, seemingly random Holy Spirit moments. For example, within one week, we were unexpectedly called upon to counsel and pray with individuals in the midst of an intense family conflict. We were invited into the home of a Pakistani Muslim family who have been friends ever since Tim first met them on the streets of Chartres several years ago. We shared our faith with a young atheist from Paris we met in the park. We counseled a German Catholic couple we met in a restaurant for two hours, talking and praying together on a very deep level. Before parting ways, they said with beaming faces, "You are God's fingerprint on our lives today."
 | Pakistani friends living in Chartres | As ministers-at-large in France and wherever we go, we get the privilege of sharing our faith in Christ and ministering in the name of Christ to so many different people in profound ways. These Spirit-led encounters are some of the true high points of our ministry, and confirm for us over and over again that God has called us to these unique ministries to people that Christ wants to love through us.
