Tim's Recent Essay
Tim's latest essay celebrates the tireless efforts in Myanmar of an expat from Australia and her right hand man, U Zaw. The essay also explores a very important aspect of spirituality not always well understood, but critically needed not only in Myanmar but everywhere in the world:

Greetings!
Jill and I are happily back in Myanmar. We dove in, immersing ourselves in teaching, preaching, lecturing on special topics, leading worship services, and meeting individually with many faculty members and students. It's great to be back!

Once again, we can see that God has called us here with some very specific, and much needed work to do. I'm teaching one of the foundational biblical courses to 85 seniors on New Testament Theology at the Myanmar Institute of Theology. My two elective courses include one on Spiritual Vitality for Life and Leadership, and an advanced exegetical course for Master of Theology Students. In addition, we have many opportunities to mentor and nurture many individuals in key positions of leadership.

Already, we've been asked to offer several special services at M.I.T., including a communion and labyrinth prayer service at vespers. We also preached and led a workshop at the Pwo Kayin Theological Seminary in Yangon, and will soon be leading a faculty workshop at M.I.T.

Most often, we're being asked to speak on spiritual growth and Spirit-led leadership. There is a great hunger here for teaching on spirituality, and students and faculty alike are responding enthusiastically, listening attentively and asking the kinds of questions that show they want to know and experience God more fully in their lives. It's such a blessing to be able to serve such eager and appreciative individuals.

Meanwhile, we've been able reconnect with several of the at-risk youth we've met on the streets of Yangon. Their problems are immediate and sometimes quite serious. This year we are exploring how Faith, Hope, and Love might contribute to keeping kids like the ones pictured above off the streets and in school, while showing them God's love and teaching them about Jesus.
We feel very grateful to be able to answer this multifaceted call, and grateful to partners like you, who help make these expanding ministries possible.
Serving Christ with you,
Tim Geoffrion
President and Teaching Minister
"What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well."

Welcome to Dan Geoffrion!

This winter, Dan Geoffrion will be serving as an adjunct, volunteer staff member for Faith, Hope, and Love in Myanmar and Ukraine. Dan brings over two years of experience working as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group. This coming fall he will be attending business school in North America. In the meantime, he has generously offered his time to help Faith, Hope, and Love on strategic planning, especially related to developing our ministries in Myanmar. While with the team on location, he will also be exploring health and social services to enhance our ability to collaborate with others in ministering in this underdeveloped country. Welcome Dan!

Thank you to all of our supporters for helping us meet our 2012 financial goal. Your support gives us the capacity to continue to teach, inspire, and equip ministers and leaders around the globe. We thank God for his continual work through all the ministries of Faith, Hope, and Love, and we are excited to see what he will do in 2013.
January through May is a notorious time in the non-profit world for its usual sharp decline in financial contributions. Your donation at this time would be much appreciated as we journey into this new year of ministry.
