While summertime is typically the time of year we tend to think of taking trips and vacations, the holiday season is another time when many of you "Go over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house" in order to see friends and family that live afar.
I travel quite a bit with my speaking engagements and want to share some of my favorite travel products with you. These might make great Christmas gifts for those on your list or perhaps you'll think of asking for them yourself! I'm also including a list of websites that will give you other ideas for travel-related products and gifts.
Shoe covers/bags - These do a great job of keeping your clothes clean. I prefer the ones designed to hold just one shoe which allows you to fit your shoes in and around other items. These are made by Lewis N. Clark, but are available at any travel store or online.
My new favorite suitcase - made by Briggs & Riley -it's the perfect size for a 1-2 day trip and has an outside compartment designed to hold a laptop. Convenient carry-on size with spinners. $479, Lifetime warranty. I recently received this set of 7 packing envelopes as a gift. As you can see, they are all different sizes and the translucency allows me to spot things quickly. I use them for cosmetics, first-aid items, sewing kit, hair products, jewelry, hosiery, etc. Made by Travelon. $22
BUILT travel organizer - designed to hold your electronics. I use it for my iPod, ear buds, cables, charger cords, etc. If it's an electronic gadget, it's got a home. $16.99 on Amazon. Brightly-colored luggage tags - These will help your black bag stand out from all the others on the baggage carousel. $10 on Travelsmith.
Jewelry Roll - I've used one of these for many years. The design keeps your jewelry from getting tangled and the see-through pouches allow you to get at what you need quickly. There are many types/styles on the market. Available at places like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target, Amazon, etc. Deluxe Bottle Set - I don't have this but might ask for it for Christmas. These bottles come in a pre-approved TSA 1-Quart bag. This one is available from EagleCreek on Amazon but there are many available on the market. $18 Here are some travel websites to check out: www.TravelProducts.com www.LuggagePros.com www.TravelOnBags.com |
