| Tech $alaries
If you're interested in learning what other Tech people earn, you'll want to download the 2013 Salary Guide For Technology Professionals from Robert Half. Page 14 of the report lists local variances with the bottom city listed is Lincoln Nebraska at 78.2 and the highest variance in New York City at 141. Hawaii at 92 is actually better than expected.

job title is "Futurist" and this Cisco executive says all of his predictions have come true. He writes a blog for Cisco and has started a theme called the "Internet of Everything" (IoE). In the first blog of the series, "Cisco defines IoE as bringing together people, process, data, and things to make networked connections more relevant and valuable than ever before-turning information into actions that create new capabilities, richer experiences, and unprecedented economic opportunity for businesses, individuals, and countries." There are many blogs to read. This series from Dave Evans is a good one.

In partnership with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center, PCATT hosted two courses in November for individuals involved with disaster preparedness, response, and mitigation responsibilities. Both social media courses were lively with great instructors including Burt Lum, Don Aweau, Stephen Itoga, and Neenz Faleafine. It doesn't get any better than that, does it? You too can be part of this free training. We'll be scheduling more training in the new year.
