State-Space Control Design
|
The Quanser Active Suspension system mimics the behavior of a single car tire, and thus can be seen as a quarter-car model. With it's bench-scale design, it is ideally suited to help students understand state-space control design principles.
In the webinar on May 6, our engineers will demonstrate how to design a LQR state feedback controller and implement it on the actual Active Suspension system to observe what effect the design parameters have on the overall system performance. Furthermore, they will discuss the design of a full-order state observer to recover two unmeasured system states.
