CONNECTING TO CULTURE
The location is 215 West 125th Street - an office building in our district.

The artist, Tomo Mori's work represents the introspective vision of her memories. She searches for the interpretation by composing thousands of colors like cell structures in living organisms. The similarity found in an anatomical view of human bodies bridges to connect physical and emotional worlds. Her canvas on canvas collage technique was inspired by the digital images created by thousands of tiny pixels, yet utilizes the traditional method of mosaic. Her process is extremely meticulous yet spontaneous in its execution, allowing natural instinct to guide the creativity and momentum of the work.

Northern Manhattan was the primary focus of a panel discussion at  the Bisnow's Real Estate Event held last week at the New World State on 50th Street. Cushman Wakefield's Robert Sharpiro, Hap's Investment Developer CEO Eran Polack, Ariel Property Advisors' Victor Sozio,  L & M Development Partners' Eben Ellerston and Janus Property Company Principal Scott Metzer participated in a panel discussion led by Windell Marx Lane and Wittendorf's Senior Counsel Charles Hamilton. The panel explored several topics:
  • Why are developers coming to Harlem?
  • What are some of the greatest challenges?
  • What are the most significant drivers?
  • What are some of the sub-markets?
  • What are the impact of the Mayor's programs with affordable housing?
  • Political dynamics of the market and more.

The development activities on 125th Street and their impact in the Northern Manhattan community was prominently mentioned on many occasions,

Demand outpacing supply was also noted and Harlem stands out as poised for growth, which is attractive to developers"

Greenwald's firm developed Harlem USA on 125th Street in Harlem, a 285,000 s/f, six-level retail and entertainment complex anchored by a movie theater.

"We would love to find a large enough site to do a project here like in Harlem," said Greenwald at the breakfast. "We want to keep making statements."
