The artwork featured this month is located in an office building in our district, 215 West 125th Street.
The artist, TAFA is an award-winning artist whose paintings have been exhibited and collected in Europe, Japan, Canada, South America, Africa and the US. His works are in many permanent public and private collections including the Superior Court, Washington, D.C., Barclays Bank, Sparrow Hospital, Michigan, Shell Co, Ghana's National Museum, Carver Federal Bank and former New York City Mayor, David N. Dinkins, Bryant Gumbel adn the late johnny Cochran. TAFA obtained a BFA degree from the College of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He lives in Harlem, NY.

City Planning presents a Text Amendment Proposal New York City Planning Zoning for Quality & Affordability

As a friendly reminder, the Department of City Planning (DCP) has extended the public comment period for the Draft Scope of Work regarding the Zoning for Quality and Affordability Text Amendment Proposal from Monday April 6, 2015 to Thursday April 30, 2015, close of business.
Comments can be sent to Robert Dobruskin, Director, Environmental Assessment and Review Division, New York City Department of City Planning, 22 Reade Street, 4E, New York, New York 10007 or be emailed to [email protected]. 125th Street featured in Sweden's Magazine "Svenska Stadskarnor Urban Centre Magazine" Next month, BID President, Barbara Askins, travels to Sweden to be the keynote speaker for the Association of town Center Managemant at their Annual Conference in the City of Kristianstad. The engagement also provided the BID with the opportunity to 125th street featured in one of Sweden's Urban Centre Magazines. The article focused on where 125th Street started from and how it grew over the years. Be sure to take a look from page 20-22.
